Weather Forecasters: A September This Warm Occurs Only Once Every 7–8 Years

The first month of fall brought Belarusians pleasant weather.
Last September was unusually warm. The average air temperature was +13.9°C, which is 1.2°C above the climate norm, according to Belhydromet.
Such high or even higher average monthly air temperatures in the first month of fall are recorded in our country about once every seven to eight years, the agency noted.
Brest set the monthly temperature record, where the air warmed up to +31.5°C on the afternoon of September 9. The lowest air temperature was recorded at the Ezerishche station on September 29 and amounted to +0.7°C.
The national average precipitation for the month was 72 mm, which was 134% of the climatological norm. A September this wet or wetter occurs, on average, once every four years, according to Belhydromet.
The highest wind speed of the month (20 m/s) was recorded on September 5 at the Slutsk and Novogrudok stations.
