The war is going from bad to worse for Russia.
Russian "Z-patriot" Igor Strelkov (Girkin), who is serving a prison sentence in Russia for criticizing the Kremlin, sent a letter to his comrades. In it, he stated that for Russia, the war against Ukraine "is going from bad to worse." The letter was published on October 8 on his Telegram channel, according to Dialog.UA.
Strelkov believes that “deep confusion” reigns in the Kremlin due to the failure of attempts to negotiate with Washington regarding the surrender of Ukraine.
“All the efforts of my friend’s daughter Kiryusha Dmitrieva have, as expected, come to nothing, since there is currently no rational or solid basis for ending the war while preserving even modest—but at least some—territorial gains for the Russian Federation… The war is, to put it bluntly, getting worse and worse; our armed forces are incapable of either preventing or successfully repelling the enemy’s numerous ‘pinprick attacks,’ which have long since moved from the category of insignificant and tolerable to the category of dangerous both for military production and for the economy as a whole,” Strelkov writes.
He also noted the total “sobering up” of the Russian people, who have begun to see with their own eyes and feel in their wallets the consequences of the so-called “special military operation.” No one believes the propaganda’s claims that “everything is going according to plan” anymore.
According to Strelkov, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin’s latest threats—in the style of “seven of you hold me back”—are a sign of weakness. Overall, the Z-patriot believes that Moscow has “driven itself into a deadly and inescapable trap” through the war.
In the letter, Strelkov also began writing about how the Kremlin is currently terrified. At that point, his text was suddenly cut off. His associates believe that his further remarks “were not allowed through by the censors.”
