The Network showed how Russia restored the light in Murmansk.
After the large-scale blackout in Murmansk Region, which left the region's capital and the Northern Fleet base without light and heat, the authorities reported on the "restoration of power supply." But the power lines decided to be installed on wooden poles instead of normal supports, writes "Dialogue".
The Russian Ministry of Energy said that the first stage of emergency work had been completed. However, the published videos show ordinary wooden structures, which in normal countries are used for country house lines, not for power supply to a strategic region with a naval base.
And only two of the five collapsed supports have been replaced. The rest are still in the process. Only in Murmansk the light has been fully restored, and in the closed Severomorsk, where the main base of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation is located, the work continues.
Factually, it turns out that one of the key military points of Russia, the base of nuclear submarines, is temporarily powered through the infrastructure, assembled in an emergency mode. The governor attributed the delays to "harsh northern conditions" and even said that a helicopter had to be brought in to install the supports.
