Danish Foreign Minister Rejects Possibility Of Greenland Deal With Trump

The Danes categorically reject the transfer of the island to the US.

Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen rejected the possibility of negotiating the sale of Greenland to the United States, writes Bloomberg.

"We will not enter into negotiations on the basis of abandoning fundamental principles. We will never do that," the minister told reporters and added that it "goes without saying" that the Danes categorically reject handing Greenland over to the U.S.

Trump, for his part, said Denmark needed to notify him directly if it made such a decision on Greenland.
