The Lithuanian Army Received The Latest Generation Of Anti-tank Grenade Launchers

The value of the order is $14 million.

The Lithuanian Defense Ministry has announced that new Carl-Gustaf M4 RD anti-tank grenade launchers have entered service. The contract worth about 14 million euros for their purchase was signed late last year.

The newest M4 RD model is shorter and lighter than the previous Carl Gustav versions, which makes it easier and more convenient to use.

Carl-Gustaf M4 (CGM4) is a modern Swedish 84mm multi-purpose anti-tank grenade launcher from Saab, representing the fourth generation, which is lighter (about 7 kg) and more compact than its predecessors thanks to its titanium liner and carbon fiber casing, has a Picatinny rail for mounting modern sights, the ability to be carried loaded and a shot counter, as well as a variety of ammunition types, including advanced ammunition with programmable detonation and a target acquisition system, making it a versatile weapon for anti-armor, anti-personnel and anti-jamming applications.
