Vance Intrigued By Statement On Ukraine War
J.D. Vance

The U.S. vice president promised "good news in the coming weeks."

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has expressed hope that there will be "good news" in the next few weeks on ending Russia's war against Ukraine.

According to NBC News.

In the course of the conversation, reporters asked him what frustrates him most about being vice president of the United States. In response, Vance said he has yet to make a deal that would end Russia's war against Ukraine.

"Oh, man. Look, the Russia-Ukraine relationship has been a source of constant frustration, I think, for the entire White House," the vice president said.

He noted that the White House did think - and U.S. President Donald Trump himself has said more than once - that this would be the easiest war to resolve.

"And if you were to, you know, say that peace in the Middle East is easier to achieve than peace in Eastern Europe, I would say you're crazy," Vance added.

At the same time, the official remains optimistic and expects "good news" in the coming weeks. He emphasized that the situation is not at the finish line yet, but there is progress.

"I do believe we've made a lot of progress, but we haven't reached the finish line yet. There is hope and hopefully there will be some good news on that front in the next few weeks," summarized JD Vance.
