Ukrainian defense forces on the night of December 4 hit one of the largest chemical enterprises of the Russian Federation - Nevinnomyssky Azot in the Stavropol region. This was reported by the AFU General Staff on Facebook.
The Ukrainian military reportedly carried out the attack as part of "reducing the offensive potential" of the Russian Federation, as well as "the enemy's missile and bombing capabilities."
"The plant is a critical component of the enemy's military-industrial complex with a production capacity of more than 1 million tons of ammonia and up to 1.4 million tons of ammonium nitrate per year, making it a key supplier of basic components for explosives and ammunition production," the report said.
The AFU General Staff pointed out that the plant provides a number of Russian military-industrial complex enterprises on a permanent basis and "serves as a chemical hub" in the system of technical support for combat operations.
"One of the production shops was hit, a fire was recorded at the facility," the report said.
In addition, the results of hitting the enemy's accumulation of manpower at the firing range near Dokuchaevsk (temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Region) were confirmed, the AFU General Staff added.
"According to confirmed data, the enemy's losses amounted to 60 servicemen killed and wounded," the Ukrainian military said.
