In Panic Over U.S. Aircraft Carriers, Maduro Sang Lennon's Song About Peace
Nicolás Maduro

Venezuelan dictator fears overthrow.

Venezuela's dictator Nicolas Maduro recalled British musician John Lennon's song Imagine during a rally in Caracas and sang a line from it.

"To do everything for peace ... like Lennon," the ruler said.

Before that, he spoke of strained relations with the United States. People gathered at the rally picked up the song by forming a figure out of their fingers to signify "peace."

"No more endless wars. No more unjust wars. Enough of Libya. Enough of Afghanistan," Maduro also said during the speech.

Reminder, the US has launched a large-scale operation off Venezuela to fight drug trafficking. An aircraft carrier strike group has been deployed, which may indicate a possible military intervention.
