A video with shots of the partially abandoned territory of Svetilovichi district hospital in Vetki district was noticed by "Flagstaff".

A lot of comments appeared under the video: people expressed regret that the building of the once popular medical institution was empty, and indignation that "everything was ruined".

Officials previously stated that the Svetilovichi district hospital would be preserved.

"Svetilovichi hospital will exist. And the level of medical care will remain here at the same level. This applies to the rehabilitation department, the services of which are appreciated far beyond the borders of Vetkov district, and nursing beds, the demand for which is very high, and the therapeutic department, where you can get first aid," - said the former head of the regional health department, the so-called deputy of the "parliament" Nikolai Vasilkov.

Now, according to local residents, the only thing left in Svetilovichi hospital is a nursing department, "and that, they say, only until the end of the year," wrote "Flagstaff."

"With the liquidation of the hospital, the village of Svetilovichi, which was given the status of an agro-town, is experiencing its second death - after the first one, due to the Chernobyl disaster," the publication concluded.

Propagandists went to the place "to dispel fakes."

"Yes, the medical center looks modest, but there is no doubt that it continues to provide medical care to the population," wrote the Rural Gazette.

A rehabilitation department, which "was considered one of the best in the region," has not been closed, but moved 30 kilometers away, officials say.
