It will all depend on the outcome of the negotiations.
The Lithuanian government may decide on the border with Belarus at the meeting on November 19. This opinion LRT was expressed by the chairman of the Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs Remigijus Motuzas.
According to him, the decision will also depend on the result of negotiations with the Belarusian side at the technical level.
"The decision will be determined, first of all, by the results of technical negotiations. But so far, based on the situation, the trend is rather inclined to the fact that the borders may be opened earlier than November 30. The final decision will be made taking into account the conclusions and recommendations of these commissions, as well as decisions at tomorrow's government meeting," he said.
Today, the State Defense Council and the National Security Commission are also to meet in Lithuania.
We recall that on October 30, the Lithuanian government decided to close the checkpoints Miadininkai (Kamenny Log) and Šalčinkai (Beniakoni) on the border with Belarus for a month. According to the LRT TV channel, the restrictions will be in force until 24:00 on November 30, with the possibility of their extension.
