Lukashenko Was Cheated Again With An Electric Car
Vladimir Karanik

Karanick got slapped for his predecessor's unfulfilled promises.

When receiving the head of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Karanik with a report, the ruler spared no words of offense against his predecessor - Vladimir Gusakov:

- I am primarily interested in improving the activities of the Academy of Sciences. For what we replaced the chairman of the Academy of Sciences - to make it better.

The new head of the Academy of Sciences seems to have correctly caught the notes of resentment in his patron's speeches, telling him that "the main task to which he directs all scientists is to develop something that is in demand by the real sector of the economy, and not to try to impose on them what they have got," writes "Salidarnasts".

And still he did not escape his bitter pill. It came to him for one of the most offensive stories directly related to his predecessor. We are talking about the electric car, which, according to Lukashenko's press service, "Belarusian scientists have been promising to present for several years already."

- How many promises were made! Where is this electric car? We helped, and the Academy spent a lot of money. There is no car. So what is the status? - Lukashenko asked.

And here Karanik should have been offended. Since Gusakov had been feeding the ruler for years with promises of serial production of a "domestic" electric car.

But the current head of NAS should hardly worry about anything. Like Gusakov, he was personally appointed to the post by Lukashenko. And his predecessor managed to hold the post for more than ten years.

Listening to endless arguments that "there will be a concrete result, there will be money", that it is necessary to raise the authority of the Belarusian scientist, because "the time is such now". And quietly using the money "for science".
