Two Belarusian banks have announced changes in interest rates on deposits. One of them raised the rates, while the other - completely revised the rates on several popular deposits, but not all of them - upward, writes Telegraf.news.
BNB-Bank announced about the increase in interest rates on deposits on the eve. This will affect irrevocable deposits, regardless of the deposit term. The highest rates are traditionally on long-term deposits. If you make a deposit for the term of 13 and 24 months the rate will now be 15.64%.
The rates on short-term deposits have also been raised. From today they are:
8% per annum for deposits for 3 months;
12.5% - for deposits for 6 months.
By the way, customers who make a deposit for the amount of 5000 rubles through the bank branch, promised a VISA Classic "Orange" plastic card as a gift. The promotional offer is valid from November 11 to November 30.
And another Belarusian bank, MTBank, has completely revised the rates on two popular deposits - "MTBelki" and "MTBelki online" from November 12. The yield was increased only for long-term irrevocable deposits - those that can not be taken out of the bank before the deadline. The rate on such deposits for 13 or 14 months has been raised:
from 14,29% to 14,35% at registration in the bank,
from 15,29% to 15,35% at registration online.
At registration of this deposit for a shorter term (from 32 days to 5 months) the rates, on the contrary, have been lowered - both for irrevocable and revocable deposits. The yield on them was reduced by 0.5 - 2 percentage points.
