Rzeczpospolita: Poland May Close The Border With Belarus At Any Time

Warsaw sets specific conditions for Minsk.

Poland's border with Belarus has been opened conditionally and can be closed at any moment, the Rzeczpospolita edition writes, citing sources among Polish officials. There is also an option that may open other border crossings.

According to the sources of the edition, the Polish-Belarusian border was opened conditionally and may be closed again at any moment. Attention is also drawn to the message of the Polish Embassy in Minsk, which on September 26 appealed to Polish citizens in Belarus to leave immediately.

Interlocutors of the publication reminded the already known demands of Poland to Belarus, which are related to the situation on the border. These are the release of political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut (after his sentencing, the checkpoint "Bobrowniki" was closed), cooperation in the investigation of the murder of Polish soldier Mateusz Sitek at the border, as well as an end to the migration crisis.

"Belarusians know the list of our priorities, but, unfortunately, there has been no progress in any of these areas so far," said a source in the government.
