The Ukrainian armed forces have stopped the spring-summer offensive operation of the Russians, and in several directions are forcing the enemy to retreat.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that.
"The Kremlin's plans to seize important areas of terrain and settlements are not implemented, and then constantly revised and postponed. We can state that Ukrainian soldiers have stopped the enemy's spring-summer offensive campaign," the General Staff noted.
It is reported that the AFU continues to destroy further plans of the Russian Federation, taking asymmetric measures to level the enemy's advantage in personnel and weapons.
Counter-offensive operations of the AFU
The Defense Forces are conducting counter-offensive operations in certain areas. Also, the AFU units are successfully implementing assault operations in order to restore the lost position. In particular, the Ukrainian soldiers continue to drive out the Russian invaders from the territory of Sumy region.
Also, active combat operations continue in Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region. There are also some successes in restoring control over the territory in Zaporizhzhya region. There are other sections of the front where the enemy has no achievements.
Russian losses
"Despite the fact that the situation in the areas of combat operations remains difficult, the enemy does not own the strategic initiative in full. At the cost of huge losses, the enemy has insignificant advances in some parts of the front," the General Staff added.
So, only in September, the occupants' losses amounted to almost 29,000 servicemen, destroyed and damaged 70 tanks, 65 armored fighting vehicles, more than 1,050 artillery systems, 6 multiple rocket launchers and other equipment. Since the beginning of the year, 2,060 Russian servicemen have been taken prisoner.
Strikes on the rear of the Russian Federation
It is noted that the most effective for all years of the war is carried out deep strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. Thus, Deep Strike destroys military targets, logistics and energy complex of the aggressor country.
In particular, since the beginning of the year, a successful fire defeat was inflicted on 45 facilities of the fuel and energy and military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
As a consequence - the total production of fuel and lubricants in the Russian Federation decreased by almost 25%. Every day, the aggressor country loses more than 46 million US dollars from the decrease in exports of oil products. The loss of the enemy's rear resources significantly complicates its ability to conduct active combat operations.
New weapons from allies
According to the General Staff, there are also positive signals about the provision of new military aid packages from allies.
In particular, the delivery of precision weapons such as Tomahawk cruise missiles and other modern systems is being discussed. Their use would significantly strengthen the Russian Federation's coercion to end the war and establish a just peace.
