Belarus in 2026 may expand the list of vehicles, for which the increased tax is charged. This is written by Myfin.by with reference to the draft amendments to the Tax Code.

The increased transport tax may be introduced for owners of motorcycles of categories L3-L5 with an engine displacement of 500 cm³ inclusive, which are less than three years old. As planned, they will have to pay taxes at rates increased five times. Such a scenario is laid down in the draft Tax Code.

At the same time, the standard rate of transport tax on motorcycles for legal entities may increase from the current 79 to 85 rubles, and for the population - from 46 to 49 rubles.

Accordingly, the increased rate will be 245 rubles, if these changes are approved.

As now, in 2026, cars of high comfort will be subject to transport tax at rates increased 10 times. The list of such cars is approved by the Council of Ministers.

The Ministry of Taxes and Levies previously stated that in 2026 they intend to raise many taxes - both for cars and real estate.
