Putin Asked Trump Not To Hand Over Tomahawk To Ukraine

Russian dictator said handing Kiev missiles would "damage relations".

Russia's dictator Vladimir Putin talked to his American counterpart Donald Trump about Tomahawk missiles. An aide to the Russian ruler, Yuri Ushakov, told RIA Novosti.

Putin told Trump that the missiles will not change the situation on the battlefield, but will damage Russia-US relations and the settlement in Ukraine, Ushakov said.

In his opinion, "Trump at tomorrow's meeting with Zelensky will take into account all the considerations put forward by Putin during the telephone conversation."

Trump had a two-hour conversation with Putin on October 16. According to him, "a lot of progress" was made during the dialog. The American leader also spoke about a future meeting with his Russian counterpart, it is planned in Budapest. He also promised to discuss with Zelensky his conversation with the Russian dictator.
