Shakhtar Soligorsk Is Bankrupt

One of the most famous teams of Belarusian soccer can't pay its debts.

The Economic Court of Minsk region recognized FC "Shakhtar" (Salihorsk) bankrupt and started liquidation proceedings against the legal entity. For the first time in the history of Belarusian soccer such a titled team is bankrupt, writes "Belarusians and the market".

The documents say that according to the results of bankruptcy proceedings, the total amount of accounts payable of FC Shakhtar amounted to Br16.77 million. At the same time, the club's assets are valued at about 11 million rubles.

In this regard, the court considered that Shakhtar "is unable to fulfill all monetary obligations to creditors".

"Taking into account the above, as well as the fact that in accordance with the provisions of Article 39 of the Law there are no grounds for termination of proceedings, the court concludes that the debtor is insolvent and is unable to fulfill monetary obligations to creditors, therefore, is subject to bankruptcy and liquidation in the manner prescribed by law," the published document informs.

Reminder that the Pitmen have won the Belarusian championship three times in their history. They did it for the fourth time in 2022. But due to the detected contractual matches and incentives of other clubs were deprived of the title.
