A strategic facility for Russian troops has been destroyed.
A major fire at an oil depot in Engels, Russia, has been going on for five days now. The Russians were unable to extinguish the strategic facility, Dialog.UA writes.
The Kristall oil depot in Engels was successfully attacked by Ukrainian UAVs on the night of January 8. Today, five days later, the fire continues there.
The head of the Saratov region, Roman Busargin, confirmed the inability of emergency services to cope with the fire. There are not enough foaming agents to extinguish the fire. According to him, there is now a “controlled burnout of fuel.” The fire will continue until it goes out on its own.
According to the latest data, three fuel tanks were completely destroyed as a result of this attack. Another six were damaged. A storage facility with a total capacity of almost 800 thousand tons, which supplied fuel to the nearby Russian Aerospace Forces Engels airbase, was put out of action. The latter is actively participating in the aggression of Ukraine, launching missile strikes on the cities and villages of the country. The destruction of the facility is a very strong blow to the long-range capabilities of the aggressor country.
