On the evening of Tuesday, May 7, explosions thundered in temporarily occupied Luhansk, followed by a fire. Hits to the oil depot within the city were recorded, reports obozrevatel.com.

The explosions were reported in local public places, residents of Luhansk published footage from the place of arrival. The network wrote that ATACMS missiles flew into the oil depot.

Soon, the head of the so-called LPR Leonid Pasechnik confirmed the defeat of the oil depot in Luhansk. At the same time, he called the city, which has long been the deep rear of the occupiers, "peaceful".

"EMERCOM employees work at the site. Now the main task is to extinguish the fire to protect civilians and their homes from the fire. Information about the victims is being clarified. I keep the situation under personal control," wrote Pasechnik.

Later, he said that, previously, five employees of the oil depot were injured, they were hospitalized.

Russian media also wrote that as a result of the attack, power lines were damaged, houses in the oil depot area were partially de-energized, and a high-pressure gas pipeline was on fire.
