The Holy Fire From Jerusalem Did Not Arrive In Belarus On Time

The Holy Fire, taken out on May 4 from the Jerusalem Church of the Holy Sepulcher, will be delivered to Belarus this year not before the Easter service on the evening of Holy Saturday, as was previously the case, but on Sunday morning, directly on Easter day — May 5, the Belarusian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church reported.

It is reported that the delay is due to the “complicated situation in the Middle East region.”

“It is expected that the lamp with the Holy Fire will arrive at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk at 9:00 at the beginning of the Divine Liturgy,” the message says.
