Reuters: France Sends Several Hundred Troops To Ukraine

France may soon send military instructors to Ukraine, despite the concerns of some allies and criticism from Russia, Reuters reported on Thursday, citing sources.

According to Reuters, France could announce its decision next week during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to the country.

Anonymous diplomats claim that Paris hopes to form and lead a coalition of countries that will offer such assistance to Kyiv in the war effort, even though some of its partners fear a direct conflict with Russia.

The two diplomats noted that France would first send a limited number of personnel to assess the mission's capability and then send several hundred instructors.

It is noted that the training will focus on demining, maintenance of equipment in working condition and technical expertise for military aircraft.
