Ministry Of Sports ‘Rats Out’ Belarusian Football Federation

The ministry said that the federation violated the law.

The Ministry of Sports announced a violation of the law by the Association Belarusian Football Federation (ABFF). According to the press service of the department, on April 26-28, 2024, it was planned to hold an event that does not comply with the law.

According to the republican calendar of sporting events, ABFF is not the organizer of the 2024 Belarusian football championship among men's teams of the second league. The organizers of the recognized event are the Ministry of Sports and Tourism and organizations authorized by it.

The Ministry of Sports emphasized that the activities of the ABFF in this case contradict the powers of the organization, and the event being held is deprived of official status. The press service of the department drew attention to the importance of compliance with legislation in the field of sports and physical education and asked to refrain from various types of comments.
