Poland To Build Road To Kaliningrad Border In 2025

Poland intends to build a road to the border with the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation shortly. This will allow Polish troops to respond more quickly to possible security breaches.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs Maciej Duszczyk, the Financial Times reports.

According to him, Poland intends to complete the construction of the border wall and close the border with Belarus by next summer. This is a necessary measure to stop the influx of migrants, which Warsaw calls Russia's hybrid war.

He also noted that in the coming months, Warsaw will build a new road in the direction of the Kaliningrad region. Duszczyk believes that thanks to these measures, Poland will "come as close as possible to 100% border security".
