Why we won't see Lukashenka as a passenger in the Minsk metro?

Lukashenka promised he would start using the metro after retirement. The chances of seeing him among ordinary passengers of the Minsk metro in this way are practically zero.

But other heads of state can afford such luxury without fear of unwanted manifestations of 'people's love': Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, who is personally acquainted with Lukashenko, uses public transport.
