Panic Over Air Alarm Sirens Starts In Belgorod

Residents of the Russian town are demanding a response from the governor.

The morning of Wednesday, March 29, started with a siren in Belgorod. So far, it was a routine check of the population alert system, but given the regular "explosions" as well as unsuccessful launches of missiles by the Russian army, which fall down seconds after takeoff, people are being prepared for a reason, reports dialog.ua.

However, the Russian officials did not even manage to organize a siren check. Most of the residents of Belgorod either did not hear the sounds at all, or they were there but only very distantly.

Meanwhile, Belgorod residents are afraid to attend subbotniks because of the "yellow" danger level in the region. One local resident asked the governor how people would be kept safe and what would be done with any suspicious items identified.

This infuriated the head of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, and he sharply replied something along the lines of, "If you are afraid, don't go."

"There are no plans to hold the subbotnik along the border and in places where it is dangerous, there is gunfire in the area and there are mines," the official assured the townspeople.

However, these words did not add to the safety of being on the streets of Belgorod.
