China Finds Replacement For Russian Coal

South Korea and Japan also refuse contracts with companies from the Russian Federation.

China announced an increase in its own coal production, as well as the restoration of supplies from Australia, writes Reuters.

The export of Russian coal, according to the news agency, is complicated by logistical difficulties, and Australia is able to push Russia aside in the coal market.

At the beginning of 2023, three utilities and one steel company from China received the right to order Australian coal.

Other companies are expected to receive permits in the coming months.

As stated in the material, because of the problem with timely deliveries, South Korea and Japan began to refuse contracts with Russian companies.

As the Charter97.org website wrote, the UK has completely stopped importing Russian LNG.
