Lukashenka's Lackeys Are Ruining Hrodna Azot

The plant is actually rotting.

Lately, the heads of enterprises in Belarus have been trying very hard to hide accidents, breakdowns or failures of equipment from the people's eyes. Appointees understand very well that in the current situation, when they have not earned their place by honest work and knowledge, but were awarded it because of their kowtow, their lack of professionalism and inexperience will be blamed for everything.

An emergency situation took place at Hrodna Azot on June 9, 2022. A rather long high-voltage wire was cut near "Cyclohexanone-2" workshop during repair works. This is an extremely dangerous situation, not only for the health of people who are nearby, but also for all plant workers. The safe operation of the workshops fed by this line was at risk, and an emergency shutdown of several workshops at once could have become unpredictable and fatal.

According to the employees, the entire senior management team started fussing. Everyone gathered around, regardless of their knowledge or job specifics, to gawk or give a competent order to the worker, as is usually the case. And some people – even worse – were checked for their certificates out-of-schedule. All the "white helmets" began a theatrical performance full of beadledom.

Three days were given to fix the problem, and even a police patrol was assigned to protect the wires from onlookers passing by. However, even that did not last long. Despite that shift personnel continued to work over the weekend and repair workers were out fixing faults, the guards of the wires quietly took off, leaving the hazardous site without surveillance. It stands to reason since there was absolutely no need to imitate the frenzied activity anymore.

While the director, Ihar Liashenka, is busy replacing chairs in the propaganda halls and looking for "ppm" in the workshops - the plant is actually rotting, and small repairs are already having a domino effect. You fix one thing, another one breaks down. But, unfortunately, such breakdowns do not just bring economic losses; such cases affect daily the lives and health of the workers, whom the appointees do not appreciate at all.

Lukashenka's talentless henchmen are not just damaging the enterprise and the country's economy, they are becoming a danger to the workers. There are old wires hanging on the scaffolding of the workshops, pumps and compressors made in the 70s are in operation, and the walls of the workshops are collapsing in chunks.

When a worker comes to the plant, he should think about doing his job safely and according to regulations, rather than taking part in a lottery, the price of which could be his health or life. They must therefore be driven out using every possible means. It is necessary to write anonymous complaints and refuse to work until all the problems have been fixed. Struggle for the rights and human dignity is a question of survival for the Belarusian workers today.

Long live Belarus!
