AFU Repulsed Attempted Offensive Of Russian Army In Kharkiv Region

This morning report from the Ukrainian General Staff.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army shelled with artillery the civilian infrastructure near the settlement of Rubizhne. Also, Russian soldiers made another attempt to conduct offensive operations in the direction of Ternova, without success.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Over the past 24 hours in the Seversk direction, the enemy continues to strengthen the cover of the Ukrainian-Russian border section, equipping strongholds in the border areas in the territory of Bryansk region. The occupiers continued artillery and mortar shelling of the Defence Forces and civilian infrastructure positions in Sumy Region from the territory of the Russian Federation.

In the Slavyansk direction, the enemy units did not conduct active operations and focused their main efforts on holding their positions, conducting reconnaissance and creating conditions for resuming the offensive. Shelling from artillery and rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and tanks was recorded near the settlements of Svyatogorsk and Dovgenkoe. The Russian army also carried out an air strike near the village of Bayrak.

The enemy, supported by artillery and army aviation, unsuccessfully attempted to take control of the village of Paseka. In the Liman direction, the enemy intensified combat operations. The enemy conducts combat operations with artillery and aviation support near the village of Liman.

In the Severodonetsk direction, the Russian military, supported by artillery fire, continue their offensive in the direction of the settlement of Severodonetsk. In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out offensives near Kamyshuvakha, Yakovlivka and Troitskoye, with no success and suffering losses.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian army forces continue mortar and artillery shelling of defence positions and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Avdiivka, Peski, Marinka, Orekhov and Novoselka. Attack and army aviation were also used near Kamianka, Avdiivka and Novomikhailivka.

We would like to point out that since the beginning of May, Russian troops have stepped up their shelling of Donbas. The enemy is launching missile, artillery and air strikes at dozens of settlements in the region virtually around the clock. There are casualties and injuries among civilians.
