The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation was reminded of the colossal losses in his army.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the statement of the Russians that they allegedly deliberately slowed down offensive actions pathetic and inadequate.

The President of Ukraine stated this in a video message.

Zelensky recalled that today the Russian Federation announced that the Russian military allegedly deliberately slows down their offensives.

He described the statement as "far from adequate".

"Well, after three months of searching for explanations why they failed to break Ukraine in three days, they did not come up with anything better than to say that they planned it that way," the head of state said.

He recalled that the Ukrainian military liquidated almost 30,000 Russian soldiers and destroyed more than 200 aircraft, thousands of Russian tanks, armoured vehicles and other equipment, and the Russian Federation has almost used up the ammunition of missiles.

“And they want to cover this up with a lie that they are allegedly fighting not at full strength. This is pitiful. The time will come and they will admit it," Zelensky stressed.

Earlier, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the offensive of Russian troops in Ukraine is "deliberately slowing down" in order to avoid civilian casualties. He also once again cynically lied, saying that the Russian army does not strike at the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.
