What Happened To Electricity In Belarus Last Night?

Residents of various cities reported about "a communal collapse".

Last night, many towns in Belarus had no electricity. The portal tut.by tried to find out what it could be connected with.

There was no electricity for nearly an hour in Mahiliou region. Judging by readers' reports, there was no electricity in many houses and no water. Entire districts were in the dark; traffic lights on the roads didn't work for some time.

The reason was a fire at the Lukoml state district power plant in Vitsebsk region. More precisely, a voltage transformer caught fire. MES workers eliminated the fire, no one was injured. The electricity supply has gradually been restored in the region (not yet everywhere).

At the same time, Minsk Serabranka also had no electricity. There's no information about its connection with the fire at the SDPP. Later, electricity returned to the houses of Minsk residents (by the time of publication, not to all of them; there are readers' reports about absence of electricity in Minsk and Mahiliou and absence of water in Vorsha).
