Winner In Belarus Already Known

Time works for those who are on the side of the future.

Editor-in-Chief of the youth edition 34mag.net Anton Kashlikau, in a commentary for Deutsche Welle, noted that both sides of the confrontation in Belarus want to starve each other into surrender:

- The regime hopes that the people will run out of strength and self-confidence. The people rightly assume that the regime will run out of money. Even yabatki (those of them who are capable of simple logical conclusions) already feel that nothing lasts forever under the red-green moon.

The whole country is frozen in limbo, in an extremely uncomfortable position. Waiting for the climax and denouement. So, what does each new day bring us closer to? Many clever columns have been written over these months, many accurate observations and pertinent metaphors have been made. But the main one I think is the image in which the situation in Belarus is a battle, where the past does not want to give in to the future with all its might. In this you can see something pagan-naive, but in such a confrontation, the winner is always known. Therefore, no matter how the leaky system resists, time works for those who are on the side of the future. The main thing is not to waste it.
