Wake Up, Belarusians!

Let's start the spring, contrary to the laws of nature.

The “Basta!” Telegram channel has published a letter from an indifferent reader:

- Two recent events still haunt me. An 18-year-old girl was imprisoned for 2 years because she painted something on the riot policeman’s shield. Think about these numbers! The girl is only 18 years old, and she will be imprisoned for 2 years for drawing. A proportionate punishment ... After all, the “white and fluffy” riot policeman, apparently, has undergone inhuman suffering from this picture, cannot sleep, suffers, and attends a psychologist.

But another, as white and fluffy, very vulnerable and defenseless “law enforcement officer” hit a woman in the face. But don't think - he's good. He's a hero! He has averted the impending disaster! Met face to face “with a terrible two-meter pumped-up monster”. And he himself is so puny and weak. It is a pity that only friends and comrades did not notice his heroic deed. Maybe they didn't notice the threat posed by the woman? Well, it's not for us to judge and think. We've already figured it out for us ...

Of course, nothing will surprise us. We think we are hardened. Or maybe we are not hardened, maybe we just hide in our burrows and think: it's good that it's not me; okay, what's wrong with me? Belarusians, wake up! Nothing will change if we just lie on the sofa and scroll the Basta newsfeed, resent, shake the air, discuss, present. Nothing! Because awareness, not supported by action, does not mean anything in itself!

Let us, contrary to the laws of nature, start spring not on March 1, but a month earlier. Let's save the fate of the 18-year-old Belarusian woman, don’t let them break her down in prison! Let's save ourselves, so as not to regret having failed to do something that we could do.
