A search was conducted in the house of the Mazyr farmer, with whom Tsikhanouski filmed the “ interview with feedbox guys”.

A search is being conducted at the place where the farmer, filmed by Tsikhanouski, lives near Mazyr. Also, the author of the Mazyr for Life channel was detained, according to the human rights website Palesskaya Viasna.

In the middle of the night in the village of Prudok, Mazyr district, the law-enforcement officers arrived at the farm of farmer Aliaksandr Sirash, where Siarhei Tsikhanouski recorded a comic “interview with the feedbox guys”, and started a search.

Also, it has been reported from Mazyr that Aliaksandr Tsukanau, the author of the Mazyr for Life YouTube channel, who was only released on June 2 after serving 25 days of administrative arrest over participating in a meeting with Siarhei Tsikhanouski in Mazyr on May 3, was detained again. Tsukanau’s friend Dzianis, who came to support Aliaksandr in court and met him upon his release from the detention center, was also detained.

Yesterday, on June 3, a search was conducted in the summer house of Siarhei Tsikhanouski near Homel.

The search has been carried out as part of a criminal investigation under Article 364 (Violence or threat of violence against a law enforcement officer) of the Criminal Code. Siarhei Tsikhanouski was detained under this article as a suspect. Before the summer house, a search took place in his Homel office, where, as Tsikhanouski’s friends reported, they broke open the door.

As stated in the search order, which was shown to the blogger’s friends (it’s in the editorial office), the 3rd Directorate of the Chief Office for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that Siarhei Tsikhanouski lived in the country, and also used the rented premises in Homel for work.

“At the indicated addresses, according to the information available at the 3rd Directorate of the Chief Office for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption, objects and documents that are important for the investigation of this criminal case can be stored,” the resolution said.

Important to note, on May 29, in Hrodna, during a picket to collect signatures, blogger Siarhei Tsikhanouski and nine other people were detained. Independent media report that a provocation was committed against the popular blogger.

A criminal case was opened over “violence against employees of the internal affairs bodies under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. ” In total, 9 people were detained in a criminal case of alleged violence against police officers, which was instituted after a provocation at the picket in Hrodna. These are Siarhei Tsikhanouski, Yauhen Raznichenka, Dzmitry Furmanau, Uladzimir Navumik, Viarhiliy Ushak, Aliaksandr Aranovich, Siarhei Kalmykou, Vasil Babrouski, and Artsiom Sakau.

After the provocation at the picket to collect signatures, three detainees were transferred to the remand prison #1 in the Valadarski Street in Minsk. Nothing is known about the whereabouts of Siarhei Tsikhanouski.

On the evening of June 8, a 10-day period expires when detainees must be charged or released.

Human rights defenders have recognized Siarhei Tsikhanouski as a political prisoner.
