Raman Kisliak: Authorities Use "Construction Works" As Shelter
RAMAN KISLIAK

The fighters against the battery factory near Brest intend to hold a number of rallies.

The protesters against the construction of the battery factory in Brest received six refusals to hold rallies, Radio Racyja reports.

They filed applications for the period from August 20 to 26. The stadium of the children and youth school in the village of Telma, Brest district, was chosen as the venue. "The authorities say that now "the construction works are underway" there," - human rights activist Raman Kisliak said:

- We were not allowed to hold the rallies because of the alleged construction works at the stadium, which is defined as a place for such events. The fact is that this construction continued for just one day in early July, and there have been no more works there. They just removed the pavement from the runway around the stadium, and piled it up in four heaps.

Obviously, this is a non-thing to prevent us from conducting mass events against the battery factory being built near the city.
