U.S. troops remain in their positions.

US President Donald Trump has declared that US troops will remain near Iran until a final peace agreement is reached. If there is no agreement - the war will resume with renewed vigor. Trump wrote this in Truth Social on April 8.

He said all U.S. ships, planes, weapons and military personnel will be "in place" until a "real agreement" is reached.

"If for some reason that doesn't happen, which is extremely unlikely, then the shooting will begin - bigger, better and stronger than anyone has ever seen," Trump wrote.

He added that Iran should not have any nuclear weapons and the Strait of Hormuz "will be open and safe."

"In the meantime, our wonderful armed forces are preparing and resting, looking forward, in fact, to their next conquest," the US president added.
