He creates problems himself and then solves them.
A resident of Vitsebsk urged "girls, women and supporting men" to support a collective appeal to Lukashenko in connection with the declared Year of Belarusian Woman. The author separately emphasized that there is no malicious criticism - "we just want to take advantage of his promise and ask for what Vitebsk women need," writes "Salidarnasts".
But, however, there was no criticism at all. The text of the appeal says that the plan of events for the Year of Women "was developed mainly by men and without social research and survey of Belarusian women. Therefore, it contains a lot of noise and public events, but "in fact, no changes or innovations" to benefit the life of an ordinary Belarusian woman.
And what do women lack in Vitsebsk specifically? The authors of the appeal ask the state to pay attention to the "sports and active sphere. In particular, they talk about the lack of bathhouses and swimming pools (and in those that are available - the prices are higher than in the capital).
In addition, the text notes, for some reason the Vitebsk authorities have found money for two large outdoor screens in the park of the 1000th anniversary and new fountains on Victory Square, shopping centers, another ice palace, re-laying of sidewalk tiles. And cardio-dispensary, children's dentistry and music schools, which "are in a terribly deplorable condition", added to the list of "forgotten problems".
In just a couple of hours, the message has gained several thousand views and a couple dozen likes, but the citizens are not in a hurry to leave their names in the comments in the public domain. The situation as a whole leads to some curious conclusions.
First of all, it is obvious even to conditionally neutral citizens that the Year of Woman announced by the authorities is about PR, hype and show, but not about real, tangible help and support of Belarusian women. That's why it's impossible not to criticize, but only to thank Lukashenko for his wisdom.
Secondly, social networks are still perceived as a more effective means to reach the "top" (and at once to the level of the ruler, not the regional executive committee) than "hot lines" and visiting receptions organized by officials. Although many people are afraid to publicly express their indignation, requests and demands - we've been there, we know that such activity did not end well for all bloggers and petitioners.
Finally, thirdly, Lukashenko tried so hard to create an image of a "people's" and "woman's" president, so urged Belarusian women to complain to him personally if someone offends (and he "reads TikTok and will certainly react"), that he succeeded on his own head.
Now it is to him that virtual walkers of any gender address him on all topics, be it baths, heat in houses, stores, kindergartens, salary delays, legal conflicts, army deferments, polyclinics, price increases, alimony, collective farms, roads and other, other, other, other. And now he is already personally opening a polyclinic in Minsk - why is the bathhouse in Vitsebsk worse?
Often the ruler has to solve the problems created by him - let's remember at least last year's scandalous epic with potatoes. And, it seems, before the realization of the old KVN joke about potatoes over the phone: "Good... good... bad...". -
According to the saying, it's what we fought for.
