The ex-CIA chief spoke about Ukraine's successes.

Russia has lost its previous advantage in the war against Ukraine - this opinion was expressed by former CIA director David Petraeus in an interview with CBS.

He said it is remarkable that despite Russia's significant superiority in troop numbers, weapons and the size of its economy (which is 10-12 times larger than Ukraine's), the Ukrainian army manages to hold back the offensive on the front line.

Petraeus also noted that over the past two months, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have made more tangible gains than the Russian side. At the same time, such a development was previously considered unlikely precisely because of the difference in resources and the scale of the economy.

One of the key factors he called Ukraine's innovative approach to the use of unmanned systems. In his opinion, particular efficiency is achieved due to the way these technologies are integrated into a single system.

"The real genius is how they put it all together," he emphasized, referring to the overall ecosystem of command and control and coordination in the Ukrainian forces.

In addition, Petraeus noted that in the coming years, Ukraine may have fully autonomous combat systems: people will assign them tasks, and the execution will be carried out by robots.
