The ship is effectively trapped in the bay.
The Ukrainian defense forces hit the Russian frigate "Admiral Makarov" and thus the Ukrainian defenders "finish the last units" of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. This was told by Pavel Narozhny, founder of the charity organization "Jet Mail" and a military expert, on air Radio NV.
"This one unfortunate ship was trapped in the bay behind these booms, behind mine barriers. They were very afraid of sea drones, and an aerial drone came in with a pretty big warhead. It was supposed to be a Fire Point with a 105-kilogram warhead. And it hit exactly the missile launch system," Narozhny said.
He added that it is very difficult to restore this part of the ship as a whole. And given that the ship is in the port of Novorossiysk, where there is no capacity for such repair work, the chances of restoring the ship are "close to zero."
"And this is very good news for us. Because the enemy is capable of producing Kalibr missiles, and there is nothing to launch them from in the Black Sea. Kalibr missiles are not only sea-launched. They can also be launched from a land-based platform, and even theoretically by air launch. But still, no land launches have been recorded so far, much less air launches," Narozhny added.
