Israel has launched new strikes on Iranian territory, destroying a fleet of military helicopters near the capital. The targets were Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities, writes Defence blog.
The attacks were carried out on two aviation facilities near Tehran. The Israel Defense Forces released a video showing the destruction of Russian-made Mi-17 series helicopters at the Fatah heliport in Karaj.
A aviation analyst Babak Taghwai said that the Mi-17V-5 and Mi-171E type machines, which are used for troop transport and logistics, were hit.
The attack was carried out with the Delilah precision cruise missile developed by Israel Aerospace Industries. This weapon is capable of staying above the target for a long time before impact and accurately hitting objects even in difficult conditions.
