New details of the colorful operation have come to light.
Operators of the 129th brigade of the AFU destroyed a Russian Solntseke near Dvurechnaya in Kharkiv region. Despite REB protection, the drone caused a powerful detonation.
The the 16th Army Corps of the AFU reported this and released the corresponding video.
So, on the morning of April 4, in the Kharkiv direction, the UAV operators of the 129th separate heavy mechanized brigade of the AFU Ground Forces conducted a brilliant operation. It became known about the elimination of the heavy flamethrower system (HFS) "Solntsekek" - a weapon that the enemy considers one of its greatest advantages on the battlefield.
In the area of Dvurechnaya settlement, kamikaze drones tracked down the Solntsekek, which was preparing to shell Ukrainian positions.
The military noted that such systems are usually under enhanced cover of electronic warfare (EW) means, which are supposed to "blind" our drones. However, the skill of Ukrainian pilots made it possible to overcome all obstacles and strike a precise blow directly into the system's ammunition.
The result of the hit was so powerful that the explosion of thermobaric shells was visible many kilometers away from the epicenter. A huge column of fire and smoke confirmed the complete destruction of the equipment together with the crew.
"The result - another minus unit of heavy equipment of the enemy. Under the first rays of the spring sun, the Russian Solntsepek turned into a pile of scrap metal," the 16th Army Corps commented on the success.
It should be noted that the TOS-1A Solntsepek is an extremely dangerous system that uses unguided rockets with a thermobaric mixture. The explosion of such a missile creates a cloud of fire and a sharp pressure differential that burns out all life within the target radius.
Every destruction of such a system greatly facilitates the work of our infantry and saves the lives of soldiers on the front line.
