Zelensky Reaches Important Agreements With Egyptian Leader

Cairo wants to increase purchases of Ukrainian grain.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has held talks with Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and reported on the agreements reached.

The Egyptian president said during the conversation that his country will no longer accept grain exported by Russia from Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories. At the same time, Cairo is interested in increasing grain imports from Ukraine.

"Thank you for this decision," Zelensky said.

The sides discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region, as well as its impact on the global oil market. The Egyptian President reiterated his readiness to make efforts to achieve a decent peace.

The leaders agreed that the foreign ministers would continue contacts.

Zelensky informed his Egyptian counterpart about the meetings and agreements with the Persian Gulf countries.

He emphasized that Ukraine has a significant potential for military-technical cooperation and is ready to work in this direction also with Egypt. The leaders also discussed other areas for the development of bilateral cooperation.
