Drones Attacked Turkish Stream Infrastructure Near Krasnodar

The Russkaya compressor station was hit.

On the night of March 2, Ukrainian drones attacked the Russkaya compressor station in Russia's Krasnodar region to stop Russian gas supplies via Turkish Stream. This was reported by the press service of Gazprom, writes Dialog.UA.

Gazprom said that UAVs struck the Russkaya compressor station, which is located in the village of Gai-Kodzor, between 00:40 and 01:00. During this time, Russian air defenses allegedly shot down three Ukrainian UAVs of airplane type in the area of the station. It is claimed that the strategic facility allegedly suffered no damage as a result of the attack.

The Defense Ministry's summary says that on the night of March 2, Russian air defense in the skies above Russia allegedly shot down 147 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones, some of them in the skies above Krasnodar Krai, but how many specifically is not specified.

The governor of Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratiev has not commented on the situation with Gazprom's strategic facility in the region at the time of writing this news. The central Russian authorities were also silent.

The Russkaya compressor station supplies Russian gas through the Turkish Stream pipeline to Turkey and Southeast Europe. The Kremlin is directing the money received from gas exports to the war against Ukraine.

The Russkaya compressor station is therefore a legitimate target for the AFU. Ukrainian drones have previously attacked it, for example, in January 2025 and in March 2026.
