Private Air Defense Systems Have Started Operating In Ukraine

The first private air defense points have started working in Ukraine. This is reported by DW.
The channel's video report shows how private air defense works. It consists of stationary turrets with large-caliber machine guns installed near the protected facility and a remote control center for these turrets.
"These operators use ordinary game joysticks to control automatic turrets. The press of a key is enough to hit an aerial target," the journalist says, showing a room where many people sit behind computer monitors.
It is noted that an operator from a safe place can control weapons hundreds of kilometers away. At the same time, the turrets themselves are semi-autonomous. They recognize targets and independently target them, the operator is needed to confirm that it is possible to open fire.
As DW reports, such protection for private enterprises since January, the company Carmine Sky. Importantly, the turrets are operated by civilian employees.
"Our main overflight is the Shaheds. Accordingly, we shoot down the Shaheds. Yesterday, a Shahed jet was shot down. Everything that falls within the turret's range will not fly," the company says.
The story notes that in order to provide such services, businessmen had to pass all the necessary checks and obtain permits from the relevant ministries and departments.
Advisor to Defense Minister Sergey "Flash" Beskrestnov, commenting on the report, noted in his Telegram that the private project appeared before similar state ones because "business always acts faster" and has less internal bureaucracy.
"Such private remote-controlled turrets with M2 machine guns operate at a distance of up to 2 kilometers. Their task: to cover critical infrastructure. Any business can order private air defense services," added Flash.
