US President Donald Trump declared a powerful reset in the world ahead of talks with Iran in Pakistan in a Truth Social.

"The most powerful reset in the world!" - the White House chief wrote.

On April 8, White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said the American president and his team would only negotiate with Iran if there was freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

On April 7, Trump announced a two-week truce with Iran. He said Washington had received a 10-point proposal from Tehran to resolve the conflict and was ready to continue working on its basis. The American leader also noted that as part of the ceasefire agreement, Iran agreed to unblock the Strait of Hormuz.
