The AFU Hit A Key Russian Oil Pipeline

It delivers oil to Novorossiysk.

On the night of April 10, drones attacked strategic facilities in Russia's Volgograd region. The Volgograd-Tikhoretsk trunk oil pipeline could have come under attack, writes "Dialogue".

The governor of Volgograd Region Andrey Bocharov admitted that the region's strategic facilities were attacked by UAVs today. According to him, it was a massive drone attack. He said a tank with oil products was damaged in the Svetloyarsky district, causing a fire. In Surovikinsky district, a gas pipeline was damaged.

The Russian Defense Ministry's summary said that on the night of April 10, Russian air defense over the territory of Volgograd region allegedly shot down 57 Ukrainian UAVs of the airplane type. In total, Russian air defense over Russian territory tonight allegedly shot down 151 Ukrainian drones.

OSINT analysts believe that the Volgograd-Tikhoretsk trunk oil pipeline, which transports Russian oil to Novorossiysk for loading onto sea transport for export, was damaged tonight in the Rostov region. The money received from oil sales is used by the Kremlin to continue the war against Ukraine, so the Volgograd-Tikhoretsk pipeline is a legitimate target for the AFU.

The AFU has previously attacked the Sheskharis oil terminal in Novorossiysk several times, through which up to 700,000 barrels of Russian oil are shipped for export every day. In April, the terminal was forced to completely shut down due to serious damage.
