Israel Has Struck A High-ranking Iranian Commander

The IDF promises to reveal details soon.

The Israel Defense Forces claimed a strike on a high-ranking Iranian commander in Tehran. The IDF said in a statement on Friday, March 6.

"The Israel Defense Forces carried out a precision strike against a high-ranking commander of the Iranian regime in Tehran. Details later," the memo noted.

The Guardian, citing an Israeli official, reported that Israel believes the joint military operation with the US against Iran has been "much more successful than expected."

According to US and Israeli officials, their forces have effectively taken control of the skies over Tehran, destroying most of Iran's air defense systems and launchers.
