Because of the Druzhba pipeline.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Budapest will suspend transit of supplies vital for Ukraine until Kiev resumes operation of the Druzhba oil pipeline.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine citing Orban's statement.
Orban also once again spoke out against Ukraine's European integration.
"We will not give Ukrainians the money they successfully demand in other EU countries, we will not pay and we will not let Ukraine into the EU," he said.
The Hungarian prime minister believes that Ukraine's accession to the European Union threatens not only Hungarian farmers but also the country's national economy as a whole.
"Therefore, we should not hypocritically accept Ukraine's demands, even if they blackmail us and threaten us with more serious consequences," he said.
What preceded
Hungary earlier blocked a 90 billion euro EU loan to Ukraine, demanding it resume transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline.
Budapest has promised to lift the veto only after the resumption of supplies, arguing it violates the Association Agreement.
Western media reports say this could leave Ukraine without funding as early as spring.
In response, EU leaders plan to call for "intensified engagement with third countries to bridge the 30 billion euro ($34.9 billion) gap."
Yesterday, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said he would give Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's address to AFU fighters if Budapest blocked a 90 billion euro loan.
In response, Orban said he considered the words a threat not to him personally, but to all of Hungary.
Orban once again accused Ukraine of allegedly blocking oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline and threatened to restore its operation by force.
In his statement, he said that "there will be no compromise" and intends to "break the Ukrainian oil blockade by force."
