The Tax Authorities Have Taken Over The Salaries Of Belarusians

Suggests "snitching" on employers.

The Ministry of Taxes and Levies (MNS) urges Belarusians to report cases when employees are paid salaries in envelopes, writes "Zerkalo".

"By agreeing to a salary in an envelope, you first of all deceive yourself and steal your fair pension in the future," warned the MNS.

The Ministry suggests to report wages in envelopes by phone or write a letter to the tax office at the place of registration.

Officials are not the first year to fight such salaries. We would like to remind you that envelope salaries are subject to a higher income tax rate of 26% instead of the standard rate of 13%.
