Borislav Bereza: Such Is The Miserable Fate Of Lukashenko
Borislav Bereza

The dictator has become an enforcer of someone else's will.

The U.S. and Israel continue the operation against the Ayatollahs' regime. What are the key details of the U.S. and Israeli operation against the Ayatollahs' regime at this point? How

This is the question that the website Charter97.org asked Ukrainian politician and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Boryslav Bereza:

- The US and Israeli operation has been going on for only a few days, so the only thing that can be clearly distinguished is the destruction of the entire military-political top brass, the complete destruction of the air defense system as Israeli and American planes fly over Tehran, the destruction of the navy, and the knocking out of all the systems with which Iran is shelling the countries around it.

The most interesting thing is to look at the dynamics of how the firings change in terms of the number of missiles used. Here's a look: on the first day, February 28, Iran used 350 ballistic missiles, on the second day it used 175, on the third day it used 120, and today it used only 50. This shows that not only the number of missiles is decreasing - it shows that the launchers are being destroyed, and Iran's potential is simply being nullified.

- Lukashenko was silent about Khamenei's elimination for almost three days, and then still expressed support for the ayatollahs' regime. Could such a position hit his relations with Arab countries that are now under Iranian attacks - for example, the UAE, where the Belarusian dictator's assets may be located?"

- Here everything is much simpler: the club of dictators is a close-knit group of people who share a common form of government and interaction. Lukashenko expressed his condolences to his friend, although it is better, of course, that he expressed them in person. We hope that this will happen soon.

Unfortunately, the Arab world is quite cynical, like the rest of the world, and if there is money lying there, it will work. Another thing is that if it becomes known about this money, this is what will create problems for him. So no one knows what will happen next.

But it should also be clearly understood that Lukashenko kept silent until he received the input from Russia or China that I mentioned. Lukashenko is no longer an independent player, he is an executor of someone else's will. This is such a miserable fate: when in your old age you become a puppet in the service of others and dance to someone else's tune the dance you are ordered to do.

- How can the liquidation of Ali Khamenei affect the position of Putin and his allies? Can we say that the "axis of evil" is losing one of its key participants?"

- When we talk about the axis of evil losing one of its key participants, we need to clearly understand the points of interaction between Iran and Russia. If we talk about material support, Iran supplied Shaheds, Iran supplies spare parts, Iran supplied shells, missiles, and in addition, at the initial stage, Iran supplied specialists who helped launch the production of Shaheds in Russia.

When we talk about everything else, Iran is not just a partner or ally of Russia: Iran is a state that for quite a long time, creating tensions in the region, kept oil prices high. Constant work through proxies - Hezbollah, Hamas, Yemeni Houthis and so on, use of terrorist practices - all this helped to achieve instability in the region, which at the global level was used by both Russia and Iran.

In addition, there are other stories of cooperation: it is not only nuclear cooperation (nuclear means the construction of nuclear reactors or nuclear power plants). Therefore, Russia has lost both a strategic partner and an instrument of influence on geopolitics.

But there is one more point: today Russia's partners look at the fact that Russia cannot help its allies in any way, and they realize who the power is behind - and this is very important for the Third World countries. Because first there was Venezuela, which nobody helped, and now there is Iran. Who will be next - Cuba? And Russia will not interfere again. Third world countries, the so-called global south, always look at strength. And in this case, they will try to be supporters and partners of the United States, which demonstrates this strength.

And Russia is not only losing geopolitical influence - it lost geopolitical influence long ago and became a regional player - but now it is also losing support. This is extremely dangerous for Putin.

And the most important thing: the statement that a BRICS member cannot count on partnership is also framing the BRICS itself, because Iran was counting on some kind of help, but they did not help at all. Russia will always screw its partners at the first opportunity.
