US First Lady Melania Trump refuted Alexander Lukashenko's statement that she allegedly sought his help in mediating the reunification of Ukrainian children removed by the Russians with their families.

Melania Trump refuted Alexander Lukashenko's statements, emphasizing that they are untrue and have no basis.

She said that all negotiations on reuniting Ukrainian children taken from the occupied territories with their families were conducted directly - between her, her official representative, as well as the authorities of Russia and Ukraine.

She separately noted that there were no intermediaries in this process, including Alexander Lukashenko.

Lukashenko told about the alleged contacts with Melania Trump last week at a press conference on the talks with the American delegation headed by US special envoy John Cole.
